Date for Governor-Elect Wes Moore’s inaugural ceremony and festivities set

The Moore-Miller Inauguration Day is scheduled for January 18th in Annapolis

BALTIMORE, MD. (Nov. 15, 2022) — The inaugural ceremony for Governor-Elect Wes Moore is confirmed for Wednesday, January 18, in Annapolis, Maryland. In keeping with tradition, the inaugural ball is also slated for January 18, with other festivities planned for the days leading up to Inauguration Day. 

Future First Lady Dawn Moore will serve as the Honorary Chair of the inaugural ball, and future Second Gentleman David Miller as Honorary Co-Chair.

“The inauguration represents the culmination of this peaceful and seamless transfer of power, a foundational tenet of our democracy,” said Dawn Moore and David Miller. “We are pleased to announce that planning for the January 18 inaugural ceremony and festivities are underway. The Moore-Miller Inauguration will set the stage for the Moore-Miller administration and be the most inclusive inauguration the state of Maryland has seen. We look forward to celebrating with our fellow Marylanders.”
